LGBTQ2S+ Itinerary: How to Spend 2 Days In Kingston

South Eastern Ontario / Sud-est de l'Ontario

Kingston is often known for its acceptance towards all residents who live and visit the city throughout the year. You may enjoy some of the same things as your straight peers, but you also want to find your tribe when visiting another city. We’ve put together a few ideas to help you discover diverse and inclusive experiences in Kingston!

Trip duration

2 days

Day 1: Where To Start?

Central to the South Eastern Ontario region, Kingston is a great spot to drop your suitcase and start exploring. With accommodations ranging from luxurious residential-style rooms at the Frontenac Club  to the newly renovated Holiday Inn Waterfront and historic B&B’s, you’ll find that ahhhhh spot to rest your head after your day of discovering.

Kingston is hopping this year with events for everyone. Check out 25 Things To Do in March at Visit Kingston for the full lineup of soon-to-be-spring events including Maple Madness, the Kingston Canadian Film Festival, Kingstonlicious and more.

Day 2: Oh We’re Just Getting Started!

Need a little retail therapy? Yeah, we think so too.

Downtown Kingston is bursting with shops, art galleries, pubs, restaurants (you might even find a heated patio!) and limestone carriageways to help end your 2 years of cabin fever. Seriously, there is soooo much to do here that a day, even a weekend, is not enough.

Next, make your way to Classic Video for any LGBTQ2S+ titles you may be searching for – they have a large PRIDE section.

Before you leave, make your way to the Visitor Information Centre at 209 Ontario Street, to pick up some Kingston Pride Merch which includes tees, tanks, baseball caps, masks, and beach towels with 25% of all sales donated to Kingston Pride.
