Pumpkinferno at Upper Canada Village

PumpkInferno transforms Upper Canada Village into a glowing wonderland from October 3 to November 1. Thousands of hand-carved pumpkins line the historic streets, creating whimsical, enchanting, and mysterious displays that delight visitors of all ages. Unlike a haunted attraction, this award-winning event is more magical than scary, making it a favourite for families. Each pumpkin is a work of art, crafted by talented local artists who bring brand-new creations to life every year. With its mix of history, artistry, and fall charm, PumpkInferno is one of the most unforgettable Halloween traditions in Ontario.

Paranormal Investigation at L’Orignal Jail/Ancienne Prison de L’Orignal
Think the ghosts go quiet after Halloween? Not at the L’Orignal Jail, one of Ontario’s oldest and eeriest lockups. Once the site of executions, it’s now the setting for a chilling three-hour paranormal investigation. You’ll get a crash course in ghost-hunting gear, learn the jail’s dark history, and then explore its cells and corridors after nightfall. Every tour reveals something different, from subtle chills to hair-raising encounters. With just six people per group, tickets sell quickly. Fort Fright in Kingston
Each fall, Kingston’s historic Fort Henry gets a terrifying makeover as Fort Fright takes over. This outdoor haunted experience is packed with professional actors, eerie sets, and jaw-dropping effects that bring the fort’s dark corridors to life. For the bravest visitors, “Dark Nights” crank up the intensity, with only a flashlight to guide you through almost total darkness. The experience lasts about an hour to an hour and a half, with groups entering in fives. Running from October 3 to November 1, tickets are available at various price points so be sure to check the website and book early because this one always sells fast. If you would rather sit back than scream, Fort Fright Movie Nights screen horror classics on Wednesday evenings for a different kind of scare.

Ghosts & Mystery Trolley Kingston
Hop aboard the Ghost and Mystery Trolley and roll through Kingston’s most haunted corners. This guided ride takes you past eerie landmarks like downtown Kingston, Fort Henry Hill, the old Rockwood Asylum, and the notorious Kingston Penitentiary. Along the way you’ll hear chilling tales of grave robbing at Skeleton Park, ghostly sightings on Cedar Island, and tragic stories tied to Bellevue House. With its mix of history and hauntings, the tour is recommended for ages 13 and up due to some graphic details. Kemptville’s downtown gets delightfully spooky on October 25 with Kreepy Kemptville. Kids can trick-or-treat, play games, grab Halloween treats, and dance at the seasonal party. A Victorian Evening of Enchantment at Diablo Manor in Spencerville

Set in rural Ontario, Diablo Manor offers an evening unlike any other. Hosted by Scott McClelland, the creator of Carnival Diablo and star of The Paranormal Show, this intimate experience is limited to just eight guests. Evenings include a guided tour of the manor’s eerie curiosities, devilish hors d’oeuvres, a delightfully sinister dinner, and a diabolical dessert. Eastern Ontario’s scariest Halloween attraction features four spooky experiences: the wagon ride with witches and warlocks, the chilling House of Terror, the eerie Spooky Village, and a fog maze where anything could be hiding. Families can enjoy a toned-down version during the day, while evenings bring the full scare factor for brave souls. Tickets must be booked ahead, and the event runs rain or shine, so bundle up and prepare for a gourd time!

Extreme Fear Hauntings in Chesterville
Extreme Fear Hauntings is not for the faint of heart. As you approach, you’ll pass through dark cemeteries where restless souls are said to wander, before entering the Maple Ridge grounds where spirits and shadows linger. Inside, the Haunted Mansion, church, hospital, asylum, and morgue set the stage for eerie encounters and chilling scares from the Grave Keeper himself. From playful apparitions to spine-tingling terrors, this haunt delivers a full night of nightmares come to life. Running on select dates in September, October, and November 1, it’s an experience only the bravest should attempt.

Haunted Drive Thru in Charlottenburgh Park
Join in a spine-chilling haunted drive-through event, where eerie lights and ghostly figures await you at every turn — if you dare! The fourth annual event is set for Saturday October 25, 2025 little ones can tour through from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. with big scares saved for nighttime from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. Guests must stay in their vehicles.

Paranormal Investigations at the Historic SDG Jail Cornwall
Step inside one of Ontario’s most haunted sites with a ghost-hunting experience at the Historic SDG Jail. This 190-year-old building has seen it all—executions, escapes, and life as both a jail and asylum. Visitors have reported eerie shadow figures, slamming doors, phantom touches, and even the ghostly “Lady in Black.” With only eight spots per group, it’s an intimate and spine-tingling investigation through cells, the gallows, and the exercise yard where unclaimed bodies are said to rest.
