Colourful leaves reflect off of peaceful water, the air turns cool as the apples crisp up, sunflowers dot the lush landscape, bountiful harvests are celebrated, live music lazily wafts from patios, drinks are sipped and life slows down just a little. Read on to discover 40 events that will make your September shimmer in South Eastern Ontario! [**1. September 4 to 7: Stormont County Fair**](https://stormontfair.ca/) Stormont County Fair has been creating a fun-filled September weekend in Newington since 1867! A four-day agricultural fair featuring family entertainment, livestock and agricultural activities, vendors, food and midway attractions. [**2. September 5 to 7: Horse Lovers Weekend at Upper Canada Village**](https://www.uppercanadavillage.com/event/horse-lovers-weekend/) Saddle up for[ **Horse Lovers Weekend**](https://www.uppercanadavillage.com/event/horse-lovers-weekend/) celebrating the special relationship with the Canadian horse featuring riding, driving and working horses! This well-attended three-day festival showcases riding, driving, and working horses with the help of the Village Interpreters. See the authentic buildings, historic interpreters in period dress, heritage livestock at work, and activities throughout the site transport visitors back to the 1860s. [**3.
